(Oslo, 27 April 2017) Schibsted Trykk has successfully migrated its infrastructure to EVRY’s cloud centre. This modernisation of Schibsted Trykk’s technology gives it strong foundations, and in the time ahead the company will be able to accelerate its transition to modern cloud solutions.
Schibsted Trykk is a specialist newspaper production group that prints some of Norway’s most popular papers such as VG and Aftenposten. Over the course of three weekends, the entirety of the group’s technology infrastructure was migrated to EVRY’s new cloud centre in Fet without any adverse incidents or impact on the group’s operational services.
The migration was completed on a step-by-step basis in accordance with a systematic plan and as a collaborative undertaking involving the customer’s system owners, EVRY’s T&T team and the team from IBM.
“Now the migration process is complete, I would like to thank EVRY for planning and executing the project so successfully. The migration caused us only the smallest of challenges with no interruptions to operations, and EVRY collaborated well with Schibsted Trykk’s application and solution providers”, comments Ole Hermann Melby, Head of Resource Optimisation and Planning at Schibsted Trykk.
The benefits that Schibsted Trykk will enjoy as a result of migrating to a purely virtual technology platform include better stability, performance and flexibility, in addition to using the most environmentally friendly technology available.
“Schibsted Trykk’s technology platform was migrated and updated in accordance with best practice following careful planning, with no impact on day-to-day operational services. Schibsted Trykk can now enjoy the benefits of having a modern technology infrastructure located at our cloud centre in Fet and will be able to embrace future digitalisation opportunities”, comments Ole Gunnar Aastad, SVP for EVRY’s T&T program.
