Handelsbanken launches a new financial platform for its corporate customers

Handelsbanken in Norway has become one of the first banks to launch a new financial platform, Handelsbanken Insight, that enables the bank’s corporate customers, both large and small, to build their own banking environment using digital building blocks. With the new solution, Handelsbanken is taking a big step towards simplifying the day-to-day activities of its business customers.

This autumn the first corporate customers has been met by a flexible and dynamic platform when they log into Handelsbanken’s online banking for businesses. The dashboard solution has been developed by EVRY in collaboration with Handelsbanken. The aim over time is for all the bank’s corporate customers to be able to use the new solution, which simplifies their day-to-day activities and saves them time.

For many, online banking for corporate customers has consisted of an overview of accounts and transactions. With a personalised dashboard, owners, managers, corporate treasurers, CFOs and accounts employees will be able to customise the information and functions they use the most into a single screen – displaying everything from currencies and trade finance to liquidity overviews – and to adapt their overview in accordance with how they want to work.

“In order to stay relevant for our customers and to continue to have some of the most satisfied corporate customers in Norway, we depend on providing high-quality, digital services. Our ‘recipe’ is to offer first-class digital solutions in combination with what may be the best advice available in Norway. Handelsbanken Insight boosts our digital corporate offering into the elite division in the Norwegian market”, comments Dag Tjernsmo, the CEO of Handelsbanken in Norway.

Åse Fluge Nordgreen, who is the Head of Business Development at Handelsbanken, explains that the first Norwegian customers who have seen the new solution think that the platform is the answer to many of the challenges they currently face:

“It is great to be able to offer a dashboard solution that actually makes a difference for customers every single day. Our corporate customers will find it easy to create their own overviews with their favourite functions, and they will be able to obtain a clear overview that enables them to take better financial decisions. And, just as importantly, it will save them a lot of time in their day-to-day work”.

The solution addresses companies’ need to have efficient access to and ways of viewing information, which is an area on which finance departments currently spend a lot of time. Data that used to have to be taken from various different screens and systems can now be extracted into a single overview, providing access to additional in-depth information.

“We are pleased that Handelsbanken has selected EVRY as a partner to develop its offering for corporate customers. With our new financial platform, we can both provide banks in the Nordic market with a broader offering of corporate solutions for their existing customers and help them use this to attract new customers”, comments Wiljar Nesse, EVP Financial Services at EVRY.
